The Rotala Macrandra Red, aka Giant Red Rotala, has among the most intense coloration and is a stunning addition to your aquarium.
When properly cared for, the Giant Red has great contrast to regular green plants and is suitable along the mid and background of your aquarium.
Fast growing; once established, the plant grows quickly and up to 4” per week in ideal conditions.
Difficult care plant; it has high light requirements with no shade, needs high phosphates(1.5 - 1.0 ppm), not much nitrate (10ppm or less), and additional Co2 is required.
Ships 6-12" tall rooted in cotton which should be removed prior to planting.
